This comprehensive, 12 week course prepares students to take the Certified Legal Assistant (CLA) examination that is offered by the National Association of Legal Assistants (NALA). Individuals who have already earned their Paralegal Certificate or other Certified Paralegals may wish to take this course in order to prepare for the NALA CLA examination.

Note: The CLA examination is purely optional. You do not need to take this exam in order to work as a paralegal.

The following topics, which are included in the CLA examination, will be covered: legal terminology; communications; ethics; judgment and analytical ability; legal research; human relations and interviewing skills and substantive law.

Included in the course are two weeks of study time prior to the exam during which you will have full access to the online classroom and your attorney instructor. Students will be fully prepared to take the CLA exam with confidence after completing this CLA prep course.

CLA Exam Dates
Please refer to the NALA website (www.nala.org) for upcoming exam dates and fees. The CLA Test Prep course will end two days prior the the scheduled examination date.
